Three additional key factors to consider when evaluating a vibration machine are its vibration frequency, amplitude, and g-force. The frequency will vary depending on the technology, from as low as 2 Htz at the low end to as high as 60 Htz at the high end. While the higher frequencies are used for muscle building, the lower frequencies are used for lymphatic drainage. The machine must generate a frequency as well as an amplitude between 1 and 14 mm. In general, anything taller than 10 mm has the potential to be startling. Typically, exercising between 3 and 8 mm is sufficient. The G-force is a further relevant factor. G is used to measure this and determine the acceleration (the unit of gravitation).
