Fresh and clean water is one of the most basic needs of every person. According to the United Nations and other organizations, the average daily water consumption of each person daily for drinking, cooking and hygiene is between 20 and 50 liters. Polluted water is deadly and can’t be used for any of these purposes. It is estimated that about 1.8 million people die every year because of cholera and other diarrheal diseases. Millions of others are also seriously ill because of water-related causes. These deaths and diseases are preventable if people know what is clean water.
