- Dr. William N. Georgis has been practicing the art of Plastic Surgery in Rockford, Illinois since 1981. Dr. Georgis completed medical school at Brown University, and then did his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Chicago at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists for Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is also a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, a prestigious group of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons whose practice is primarily in cosmetic surgery. He is one of only 250 board certified surgeons in the United States to earn a certificate in advanced education in cosmetic surgery. He has been voted "Top Plastic Surgeon" by Consumer's Research Council of America consistently for over five years, the most recent being for 2009.
