Cold Rolled Ice Cream Company is an innovative ice cream shop located along “iconic” Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA.

The Cold Rolled brand was born out of four owners’ love of ice cream – both new flavors and traditional standards. After searching the globe for the latest in ice cream trends – the Cold Rolled ownership team decided to develop a NEW ice cream concept shop based on a preparation process called “Thai” rolled ice cream.

Cold Rolled’s desire is to leverage the increasingly popular “rolled ice cream” agile - made-to-order preparation process trend and essentially provide the most unique selection of creations, infinite flavor combination possibilities and an experience like never seen before – anywhere.

Offering flavors such as Matcha Green Tea and White Chocolate Pistachio, Strawberry Cheesecake and Oreos & Cream – there are a wide variety of options within both the Premium Creations, House Favorites and Build Your Own categories to satisfy every personal taste.

Each ice cream order is customized to the customer’s personal preference and prepared on a chilled stainless-steel plate cooled to -15 degrees Fahrenheit where the ice cream is formed right in front of your eyes through a skilled aeration process utilizing specialized tools, ingredients – and a little muscle.

At the end of the show – your ice cream is spread thinly onto the plate, personalized with your name written in delicious flavored drizzle (in most creations) and then scraped into rolls, finished with a wide assortment of unique toppings and/or fresh fruit and whip cream – Wow!

Our standard ice cream base is USDA Certified Organic and non-GMO project verified and we also offer non-dairy Almond Milk and Coconut Milk ice cream base options. We have over 20 ice cream base flavors to choose from that can be combined/mixed with more than 50 topping choices including a rotation of seasonal monthly flavors and ingredients.

The NEW concept shop on Melrose truly offers something for everyone and provides a unique experience in product and environment: There is an ice cream workshop on-site, complete with interactive elements like the street artist wall mural (by Jonathan Cirlin) and an ice cream viewing area. We also offer delivery service through Postmates, and Grubhub.

The ice cream here was so decadent and creamy. It was fun watching them make it too. Like being at a benihana except the heat isn't turned up. Drinks were okay. Try one of their ice cream creations you won't be sorry. We got the strawberry cheesecake, the mango chimayo, and the ube. All were phenomenal.

The beautifully revamped restaurant! Appetizers like fresh spring rolls and cooling salads take first-timers on a crash course of the bold flavors and unexpected textures. The dishes are packed with familiar ingredients like coconut, lemongrass, basil, and coriander. Diners will take pleasure in the daring cocktails like the tequila-based and a vodka coconut that pays homage to the renowned soup. We'll be back here soon.

Food was so yummy. The service was very welcoming and sociable. Their food is not that great. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with cheddar but she got American cheese instead. When I got a bacon burger the patty was so dry.

It's always a great time at Cold Rolled! They put on a mini show as they prepare your fresh ice cream right before your eyes! It's so cool to see liquid cream transform into ice cream as the skilled ice cream maker mixes and folds your order on a magical frozen plate! The grand finale is your name written in the ice cream just before its rolled and served up for you.

The lines can get long quickly as every order is made from scratch and there’s only 4 people working at a time. What a fabulous place! Ice cream was scrumptious but watching it being made was something else.Very light and flavorful.

The service was good even though the place was packed. I really liked the lively atmosphere. During the twenty minutes I was there, everyone sang the Happy Birthday song at least three times. The Banana Jr. sundae was delicious and I think the pricing was fair.

This is my favorite place whenever I craved food. They really have good service, the food was delicious, and the ambiance is great. Never had such a fast service like this. The price of food is a bit high and but it's all worthwhile. This is a good place for lovers, friends, and any family occasions. Highly recommended restaurant.

We were met at the entrance by a beautiful smiling hostess who led us to the main restaurant. We were met by George, the manager who introduced us to the seafood menu. I got a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, which complimented the food I ate. We enjoyed the ambiance of the place, the food, and the service. I will surely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends!
