I scheduled an appointment, arrived on time, in-processed and was escorted to the donation center to the back room. They placed me in a chair and a woman came to me and tapped her finger on each arm, asked me how much I had to drink prior to coming, which I said about 48 ounces on the way (I had been drinking water all day). She immediately said I was dehydrated and told me to come back in a week .... Now, I've donated several times before at plasma centers across the US and never in my life have I ever been told I was dehydrated and to go home, and to come bak in a week.... I think her rejection was because I was the wrong color and belive that the decision was racially motivated. So I ask -- if I were dehydrated, how could she tell just by looking at me? I stated "then I've wasted my time" .. and she said ..."no.. just come back in a week and we'll check you again..." What... for the same treatment? I believe that Biolife Plasma Services in Riverdale Park, MD is being run by a staff who are making racial decisions and not decisions based on the need for donations. Be very, very careful of this place!
