We purchased 2 pups from this breeder with no problems. We have 4 boys and decided maybe getting a 3rd dog would be great since my 3rd oldest wanted to care for one since my other boys take care of the first two we got. I was contacting Catherine month after month in regards to pups. We were hoping for a red fawn with black nose coloring. We already had a black frenchton and a white/blue fawn boston terrier so we wanted a faux frenchie. Catherine advised that if I left a refundable deposit It would guarantee me 1st pick is the litter came out with the right coloring and if it didn't my deposit would just move to next litter. On 12/22/16 I gave her 575.00 using my credit card. After month after month the pups were either black and white or brindle so we were passing up on litters. Come April 2017 I told Catherine if this litter that was due did not have the right coloring that we would need to get our deposit back due to vacations coming up and it would now be difficult getting a pup. [continued below].... Report Attachments: ..... We thought we would have had the pup by then and understood we were taking a chance but we left a refundable deposit so figured we were all set. She agreed that given the deposit would be no problem. The dog due to have pups I guess had a false pregnacy according to Catherine. So On April 18th I asked for the deposit back. Then this is when all the excuses, no returning emails etc began. 1st was Catherine was in and out of hospital with health issues. She left her daughters to handle the business and they did not want to bother her. She then tell me she handed the business to the daughters and wasn't sure where my paperwork was or how much money was in her account and had to talk to her daughters. She then tells me she cancelled out all her credit card machines and would refund me by check within 30 days. I kept emailing her in regards to when I would receive my refund. She then emails me stating my check would be mailed out no later than 5/15/2017. On 5/15 I emailed her asking if the check was mailed and she stated it was on its way. 9 days later still no check. I email her stating I still did not receive my check she then says I will cancel check and send a new one out. I then asked if she had PayPal and would like to be refunded directly thru PayPal or overnight mail with tracking so that I at least know the refund is def on its way. No response! No response! No response! The check was not mailed. The mailman said 3 days top the check should have reached me. I looked up her email through Paypal and she has an account but hasn't responded to my paypal request. I gave a credit card to leave a deposit and now is chasing a breeder for a refund back. I have 4 kids with vacations coming up and could really use this money. She is now avoiding my emails and still I am out 575.00. As long as you are giving her money you will be fine but if you ask for money back this business is a complete JOKE. I would never buy a pup from this breeder EVER. I have every email saved to prove it. This is not right and very unfair and should never happen! I am really upset over this! I want everyone to know and be AWARE!
