Do not rent from this business. He will not refund the security deposit if you are from out of town!!
My family and I were in Greensboro for the Jr. Olympics. On a day off we decided to take the boys on a boat ride for half a day. We called around and Duckhead was the most reasonable. The process was pretty simple. Pay a $250 security deposit on your Credit Card. Pay $180 cash for renting the pontoon boat for 5 hours. We paid the deposit on the credit card. We met the guy with the pontoon boat at the dock. He asked us where we were from and we told him proudly about the boys being in the Jr. Olympics. There was something about his facial expression when I told him we were from out of town that made me think humm. He showed us how to use the boat and off we went to have fun. About 3 hours in a storm developed and we headed to the dock. We met the guy at the dock and turned over the boat an hour early. He checked it out and took it for a quick spin in the inlet and then came back and said no damage and he would refund the security deposit. I didn't ask for anything $ back since we came back 1 hour early.
I waited a week and didn't get any notification about the deposit refund so I called him. He said he must have forgotten and would refund that night.
I waited another week and got nothing so I called again. He said he would do it right away
I waited 2 weeks and got nothing so I called again. He said sorry and he we get to it quickly.
It is now 2 months and no refund. Do not rent from this organization!!!
