Paradise Hobbies are crooks! not just outrageous prices and horrible service, but they do not give you what you paid for.
This is long winded but that is because my story starts 6 months ago when I ordered and paid for items I still have not received. I have my receipt and they refuse to refund my money. it's not a back ordered item, they just won't deliver upon their promise.
in august 2020 i ordered a rc car. losi 22x-4 team. At that point i was told this was ready to run, i also ordered a tool kit, a 2 port battery charger. They had 2 batteries in stock that I purchased for the above vehicle. well as i expected the car was a kit, no where close to rtr (10 hours assembly and no electronics). i asked about this 3 times at the time of purchase but was assured it was rtr. I actually enjoy the assembly so that part was not that big of a deal. Before the kit came in, Mick told me that we would work it out. i brought the batteries back because they were not the correct size or cell count for the car i ordered. I knew with COVID that it might take longer than usual but did not think for a minute it would be over 6 months to get these items.
numerous phone calls not answered, numerous visits to the store where the sign on the door said "be back 1:30" which they weren't. I had numerous bad experiences with Adam, the other worker in the store. I watched him be rude to customers in the shop looking for simple items. yesterday he told a customer in front of me "you just have to look, not going to" when asked where a simple 2x3mm screw would be. Adam also told me that he would not give me a phone number or email to contact mick (the one that took my $840). he said get a hold of him on facebook, i asked how and he said "figure it out".
bottom line is i got the kit, tools and motor/esc. The total of the product i received was $660 (MSRP not their inflated prices, but listed from the manufacture), i still need a tx/rx and charger. Adam is zero help as Mick never clued him in on what was happening and for some reason its not in the computer. I do have my receipt. They have the parts on the shelf but i was told i couldnt have them because they need it in case they sell the cars on the shelf. so basically adam blew off the customer that already paid for one so that it was available for someone that has never been in the store. 3 days in a row and i was finally told by adam that i am not allowed in the store anymore as he aggressively tried to escort me out when i said called him out for being rude. I found them on FB and sent several messages with no response.
THIS IS THE WORST HOBBY SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. they are rude, quick to take your money and don't fulfill their end of the deal. I gave them every chance to resolve this and the deadline was today. read the reviews, i wish i would have before spending money there. I will be taking this matter further until I receive a refund. BBB is my first stop.
I tried to "shop local" but refuse to spend another penny with this sad excuse for a hobby shop.
