Alerts And Important Information
Firewood Notice: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip. All campsites are available 1st come / 1st served at the park if not reserved. These sites can not be held by calling the park. The camper can call the Park to see what sites are open only for the day you call. Winter camping allowed, however, park roads are not plowed and campsites are not maintained. Pack-in camping is allowed. Usually the snow gets too deep to drive around November 15th, and stays that way until March 15th. The shower buildings, water fountains, and dumping stations are closed during the winter months due to freezing temperatures, (normally the right loop shower building opens on May 1st. The left loop shower building opens as camper numbers increase.) Pit toilets are open. No campsites are situated on the lake. A 30 foot wooded bluff lies between the campsites and the lake. There are no overnight camping facilities for campers with horses. There are no water hook-up sites in the park. Only a trailer dumping station is available. Site 27: Hiking trail runs directly behind this campsite. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.
