- Due to increased black bear activity within Lake Sherwood Campground, a food storage order has been enacted. This means all food or refuse must be properly stored inside a vehicle, or hardtop camper when not being consumed or attended. Failure to comply will result in citations being issued. Please see full order at the following website; fs.usda.gov/mnf, or call 304-536-2144 for more information. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum restriction, 3 night minimum on holidays Reserved sites cannot be changed once the camper has arrived at the campground unless the camping equipment does not fit. There is no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. Entrance gate are open from 7 am to 9 pm. Generators and battery charging are allowed only from 10 am to 6 pm. Only electric outboard motors are allowed on the lake. No all-terrain or off-road vehicles allowed on National Forest lands, including this campground. Tents must be placed on tent pads, where provided. All campsites have a maximum number of vehicles permitted with reservation fee (2). Each additional vehicle will be charged a $3 parking fee.
