RACO Interior Products, Inc. (formerly Ragland Manufacturing Company) is the industry leader in the development and manufacturing of interior aluminum doorframes and windows for use in commercial office buildings. The Texas-based company was started in 1972 and has facilities in Houston and near Dallas. RACO is credited as the main innovator of interior aluminum framing systems and continues today with significant research and development. RACO is a division of International Aluminum Corporation. International Aluminum Corporation is composed of divisions that extrude aluminum, manufacture residential windows and manufacture commercial storefront and curtain wall systems. RACO's main manufacturing facility is located on the same campus as International Aluminum's extrusion operations giving RACO timely access to its raw material. RACO doorframes, windows and aluminum/glass doors are finished at the factory. Finishes include clear anodized and baked-on paint, eliminating the need for costly field finishing. The durability of RACO factory finishes is superior to most field applied finishes. RACO offers three framing systems to meet the specific needs of a project. The RACO Classic system has been the mainstay of the company since it's inception and is still the benchmark for the industry. The Solutions II system is a more recent development, offering additional versatility in interior elevation design. RACO also manufactures an aluminum and glass door specifically for interior use. This door carries a 20-minute fire label, making it perfect for office suite entrances.
