An attorney may obtain ethical guidance regarding questions concerning the attorney's OWN professional conduct by writing to the Committee on Professional Ethics at the address below. Opinions of the Committee are advisory and are rendered only to attorneys concerning their own proposed conduct, not the conduct of another attorney. The Committee does not pass upon questions of law or on matters which are in litigation - such matters are within the authority of the court to determine. The Committee does not consider hypothetical questions or questions which have also been presented to another bar association's ethics committee.
