After being frustrated with San Diego's lack of authentic New York-style corned beef/pastrami sandwiches, the founders decided it was high time to share the pleasure of diving into an overstuffed sandwich with fellow San Diegans. While many local delicatessens claim to have great roast beef, pastrami, or corned beef sandwiches, few deliver it in a way that many East Coast natives are used to; the huge, overstuffed kind, that two people can happily share. Hence Nosh. For anyone who has ever lived in or visited The Big Apple and enjoyed classic delicatessens like Katz, Carnegie, or 2nd Avenue Deli and been disappointed at Southern California's lack of a similar experience, Nosh Delicatessen should pique interest. Our first delicatessens are open in Encinitas and La Jolla, with a third planned for San Diego in the near future. We offer traditional sandwiches such as corned beef, pastrami, turkey pastrami and chopped liver, as well as homemade Matzo ball soup, deli salads, Nova Lox, and, of course, bagels. We also provide catering and party plates that feature our unique meats, cheeses, and breads. Our sandwiches range from 4- 10, with plenty of ways to customize. Check out our unique beverages as well.
