Mission
The most important facets of the University's mission are to offer high quality undergraduate and graduate programs to a broad spectrum of students and to foster student growth and development. Unique to Northeastern's mission are the two distinctive features of diversity and community partnerships. The location of the University also provides students and faculty with many opportunities to integrate field-based learning, research, and services with classroom instruction. Study abroad programs provide Northeastern students with a unique opportunity to spend a semester, summer, or academic year overseas while earning credit at NIEU towards graduation. NEIU is easy to get to via public transportation. Average class size is 20. NEIU is committed to providing an affordable education - we are among the most affordable of the Illinois public universities. We offer Tuition Guarantee Program that offers incoming students the same tuition rate for four years.
