Montclare Children's School , founded in 2000, serves preschool children aged two through five. Located in a beautifully renovated, historic building on Manhattan's Upper West Side, Montclare Children's School fosters the intellectual, social and creative growth of children in a stimulating learning environment. Its graduates are admitted to excellent public and private kindergarten programs throughout New York City. The long-range goals of Montclare Children's School are the positive growth of the whole child; the development of abilities, interests, attitudes and values that will continue to evolve over a lifetime; and the preparation of children for the transition to kindergarten. They support these goals by providing a stimulating preschool learning environment that encourages cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth. Montclare Children's School is a member of the Association of Teachers of Independent Schools, the Parent's League of New York, and the Educational Records Bureau.
