MV Multi-Trap® Vaccum Trap or Exhaust Trap: The MV Multi Trap is a high capacity, high conductance vacuum inlet trap that protects your pump against corrosive chemicals and abrasive particles present in your vacuum system. It features a three stage effluent trapping system: the first stage knocks down heavy particles and condenses volatile solids and liquids on large surface areas; stages two and three contain two parallel banks of filter elements which can be customized to remove corrosive chemicals and fine particles. A water or refrigerant cooled accessory cools the first stage for even more effective condensation. Application processes include; LPCVD (Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition Silicon Nitride), PECVD( Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition Silicon Nitride), ALD (Vacuum Trapping for Atomic Layer Deposition Process), MOCVD (Metal organic chemical vapor deposition), Metal Etch and HVPE(Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy). The MV MULTI-TRAP® is available in three different sizes, all of which accept the cooling coil module shown in this diagram. A version with a fully cooled baffle is also available. The MULTI-TRAP® can be configured for many different installations, ranging from heavy particle applications to those producing condensable or organic vapors.

MV Posi-Trap® vacuum trap is a single stage vacuum inlet trap. The flow of the effluent gas is directed through the inlet port to the filter elements. Unlike other traps, the filter elements of the POSI-TRAP® are sealed at both the inlet and the exhaust ends, which eliminates blow-by and maintains a positive flow through the elements. This forces all contaminants to pass through the filter medium. Choose from stainless steel gauze, copper gauze, molecular sieve, Soda Lime, activated charcoal, and PolyPro (2, 5, and 20 microns). One (4″ Posi-Trap) or four (8″ Posi-Trap) filter elements are required per trap. Other filter media and customized filters are available for your specific application.

MV Visi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap with Transparent Sump protects vacuum pumps from foreign materials. Sometimes your vacuum pump needs protection from the materials you’re pumping, and sometimes your vacuum system needs protection from the pump. The MV VISI-TRAP® takes care of both. A transparent sump contains an insert that traps foreign particles and vapors, keeping them from getting where they shouldn’t be. The VISI-TRAP® traps corrosive chemicals before they can damage the pump. It also traps particles and oil vapors and reduces oil backstreaming. Several interchangeable inserts are available. Choose from stainless steel gauze, copper gauze, molecular sieve, or Soda Lime. Other filter media is available. We can also customize filters for your specific application.
