Mission
MacMurray is a small Midwestern liberal arts college. We emphasize writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills for all our students. We have a long tradition of preparing students for service professions, including nursing, social work, criminal justice, and teaching. The presence in our town of the Illinois School for the Deaf is a major resource for our strong programs in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Education and in Interpreter Training. We offer ten intercollegiate sports in NCAA Division III, numerous clubs and organizations, and an active student government. At MacMurray, Monday is a study day; classes meet Tuesday through Friday only, most of them either Tuesday-Thursday or Wednesday-Friday.
