- Green Lakes is open from 05/15/2009 - 10/11/2009 To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Pets must have a current rabies certificate and must be on a 6 foot leash at all times. Rabies Tag is not accepted for proof of inoculation. When biking, children under 18 must wear a helmet. There is a carry in, carry out policy in effect for garbage in the day use area. Swimming is permitted from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Alcohol is permitted in certain areas, some restrictions apply. No private boats allowed on lakes. Laundry facilities are located approximately 2 miles from the park. If patron is unable to arrive on arrival date, call the park office directly to let them know. DURING PEAK - Cabins are 7 or 14 day reservations and run Sat. to Sat. only! Peak is from the end of June to the end of August. Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
