At Exotic Stonewood Flooring we pride ourselves through providing the lowest possible price without compromising the quality of the exotic hardwood products we offer to our customers. We achieve this by importing our exotic hardwoods directly from our manufacturer in South America. Once the product is received by us in Canada, all the coatings and finishings are completed locally in Ontario.
Not only do we import our woods from South America but we utilize every single structure of the wood in our exotic hardwood. We also manufacture other wood items so not one piece is wasted. Because we practice this, Exotic Stonewood Flooring can offer wholesale prices to retail customers because we are supporters of being environmentally friendly. We also take satisfaction in using only water based polymers to coat our products rather than oil-based polymers that are found to have a longer drying time as well as very high volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
We believe in adopting a green and environmentally friendly approach by providing a product that lasts a lifetime compared to domestic hardwoods. It’s proven that exotic hardwoods are physically stronger and more durable against everyday foot traffic due to their high Janka hardness ratings.
In fact our species of Brazilian Walnut, also known as Ipe, is commonly used for outdoor decking. Ipe is ranked even higher on the Janka scale and proves durable against wood rotting, insects and termites. Ipe has an Grade A rating for fire resistance as well which is ranked similarly to cement and concrete.
