- The Escondido Children's Museum was founded in 2001 with the mission and goal of "inspiring children to learn about the world we live in". The facility at 380 N. Escondido Blvd. Studio 1, borders the Escondido Historical Society, Downtown Arts, shopping and restaurant district, the multiplex cinema, and the Civic Center, and is at the North end of Grape Day Park. The Museum receives over 750 visitors each month from North County, San Diego, Orange County, and beyond. Admission is $5.00 per person (12 months and under are free). The Museum offers Family, Grandparent, and Patron Memberships. Memberships include FREE admission, free passes, discounts on birthdays, store purchases, and Saturday programs. *The Patron membership includes free admission to all Museums that are part of the ACM reciprocal program. The San Diego Children’s Museum is currently a part of ACM. The Museum is host to scores of yearly school Group Visits, complimenting student curriculum.
