- Eastern Washington University, a regionally-based comprehensive university, is located in Cheney, WA, within the Spokane metropolitan area. Forensic science majors have the unique chance to learn from a state crime lab located on campus. Eastern is also the only public comprehensive in the state to offer an electrical engineering degree.
