Education by Clarke Community Clarke College is an all-inclusive and outreaching community of learners. The college community is committed to providing students with the supportive environment to succeed academically and socially. An essential component of the College???s mission is that students learn to give back to local, national and global communities. The value of outreach is demonstrated through curricular and co-curricular student involvement. Clarke students, faculty, and staff are actively engaged in volunteer work and service projects that make positive contributions to multiple and diverse communities. Learning Clarke???s academic programs emphasize communication skills, critical thinking, spirituality, and breadth and depth of knowledge. The Clarke curriculum reinforces effective writing and speaking skills throughout the student???s college experience. Clarke coursework requires students to engage in higher-level thinking skills for analyzing the elements of an idea or theory, synthesizing and organizing ideas, making judgments on the value of information, and applying theories and concepts in innovative ways. A unique aspect of the Clarke experience is the emphasis on spirituality. Students develop an understanding of spirituality as a way of living in relationship with self, others, society, the global community, the planet, and God. Clarke students acquire a better understanding of self and develop a personal code of values and ethics to guide them throughout life.
