Clark Atlanta University, located in the heart of downtown metro Atlanta, is a member institution of the Atlanta University Center. This consortium is the largest collection of black private higher education in the nation. CAU is one of only two black private universities classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the advancement of teaching as a doctoral Research University/High Research Activity.
