- Consider this before you rent or purchase your tuxedos ... There is a difference between tuxedo shops! "THE DIFFERENCE" On the surface it would seem that all Tuxedo Shops offer the same styles and hence the same service. This is definitely not the case. Most tuxedo shops carry only a few samples and have their tuxedos sent in from a remote production warehouse. We carry our tuxedos right here in the store, and do all our alterations here as well. What do these differences mean to you? At other stores you do not get to see the actual suits you are renting. The samples are often new never worn garments that do not represent what you will get for your rental. At Capitol Rent A Tux you get to try on the actual garments you will rent, in the actual size you wear. At most stores you have no idea if the garments will arrive for final fitting as scheduled. Since the garments are stocked in the store, we have them freshly cleaned, pressed and ready for you usually 2 days before your date of use, as early as 3 PM. Let’s face it, mistakes do sometimes happen, people do gain or lose weight, or change their mind on an accessory color. Since we carry almost everything in stock, there is no need for a correction to be shipped in from a distant warehouse. Changes or adjustments are no problem; these can usually be made while you wait. Many tuxedo shops are chain operations with employees who are here today and gone tomorrow.
