Mission
Founded in 1863, Bryant University empowers students to realize their personal best in life and their chosen professions. Bryant is the one university that is driving a paradigm shift in undergraduate education by shattering the thinking that liberal arts and business are separate paths. The Universitys innovative real-world curriculum is made more profound by an unwavering focus on character and ethics. The College of Arts and Sciences offers degrees in applied economics, actuarial mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, applied psychology, communication, environmental science, global studies, history, literary and cultural studies, politics and law, and sociology. The College of Business offers a degree in business administration with concentrations in accounting, computer information systems, entrepreneurship, finance, financial services, management, and marketing; a degree in information technology; and an international business degree with concentrations in computer information systems, finance, management, and marketing. Bryant's Graduate School of Business offers full- and part-time Master of Business Administration (MBA)programs, as well as an MBA for Informational Technology Professionals. The Graduate School also offers Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) and Master of Science in Taxation (MST) degree programs. All of Bryant's academic programs are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a distinction earned by only five percent of universities. Bryant has internships and recruiting partnerships with 300-plus companies; 80 student clubs and organizations; Northeast Conference NCAA Division I, intramural, and club sports; and service learning and leadership development programs. Qualified students can study abroad for a semester, a summer, or an academic year in one of 45 countries. In addition, the Universitys business outreach centers offer a wealth of resources to professionals and businesses throughout the region, and include the John H. Chafee Center for International Business, the Bryant University-US China and Confucius Institutes, and the Rhode Island World Trade Center, the only one of its kind located on a college campus. Bryant is on a beautiful 428-acre campus in Smithfield, RI, and is 15 minutes away from the state capital, Providence; 45 minutes from Boston; and three hours from New York City.
