Here’s a little secret...even after six years of being a professional photographer, I still get crazy butterflies before every single session. Every singe one! I think it's because no two humans, no two stories are the same which keeps it very exciting. Not to mention I feel such sense of honor and duty to tell each story uniquely, honestly, and beautifully. It's a job that I don't take lightly!
Photography has always pushed me outside of my comfort zone and that's what I love most about it. I’ve been to some pretty amazing places that I may never have gone if it weren’t for my camera. From the tops of mountains to the bottom of canyons to wandering the streets of foreign-to-me countries (always chasing that good light). I've always been driven to explore and create, and I'll choose experiences over possessions any day. But no adventure has pushed me, emotionally & spiritually, like documentary photography has.
