A mainstay of Saint Paul and the Lowertown neighborhood, the Black Dog Cafe is an unpretentious, all-day gathering spot. Since opening its doors in 1998 as a little coffee bar, the Black Dog has continued to stretch, push, and evolve to serve the growing needs of the ever changing Lowertown community. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer, wine, cocktails, as well as espresso and non-alcoholic drinks. With an amazing happy hour from 3-6 PM, Black Dog Cafe has beverages for all occasions! Black Dog Cafe is also known for live music (Jazz, World, Roots, Bluegrass) most every night and particularly for their Saturday nights.
