Mission
As its mission states, Aurora University is an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning. Student learning comes first and is linked with the notion that while learning begins in the classroom, it must be taken out into the real world for testing and validation. Whether students are involved in service learning projects (as prescribed in the general education curriculum) or completing an internship at one of the dozens of nationally or internationally businesses along the Illinois Research and Development Corridor, reflection upon the knowledge gained is emphasized. Many of the majors at AU are in service-related fields such as education, social work, or nursing. In addition, traditional college majors are offered. The institution is accredited to offer degrees at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral level. There are a growing number of undergraduate and graduate programs at the George Williams Campus of Aurora University on the shores of Lake Geneva in Williams Bay, Wisconsin.
