Since 1985, UF has been a member of the Association of American Universities, which includes the top 62 public and private institutions in North America. UF placed second among all universities in Kiplinger's Top Best Values in Public Colleges In-State (2009). The university offers more than 250 graduate degree programs and awarded more graduate degrees than any other public university in 2008-2009. UF faculty attracted $574 million in research funding, in 2008-2009. UF has a 2,000-acre campus and more than 900 buildings (including 170 with classrooms and laboratories).
