Company description

Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking starts following a 8 hour picturesque drive from Kathmandu to Beni. From here we make a beeline for the north-west bearing through the towns of Babichour, Dorbang and Darapani to Muri, from where you travel north as yet keeping to the banks of the Myagdi Khola. Muri is the last real settlement along this trail and is occupied by individuals of the Magar tribe, of Mongoloid stock and dropped from the early pioneers of the Nepalese center slopes. From Muri, you travel north along the Myagdi Khola through the towns of Baghara, Dobang and Chartare to Pakoban. Past Pakoban there are no lasting settlements. As yet traveling north you reach to the external edge of the Chhanbardan Glacier, keeping to one side, we achieve the Dhaulagiri Base Camp from where sublime mountain vistas are accessible. Travel north-east from the Base Camp and climb the precarious grade to the French Pass (5,360m), between Tukche Peak (6,920m) and Sita Chuchura (6,611m). Traveling east you dive a little and go through a segment of the Hidden Valley and move to Thapa Pass (5,250m), between Tukche Peak and Thapa Peak (6,012m) from where you start your drop, traveling south-east to Alubari. From Alubari, the trail additionally drops to the town of Marpha on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River, and after that heads north to Jomsom from where you fly back to Pokhara and afterward to Kathmandu.
