- Gilbert Lake is open from 05/15/2009 - 10/12/2009 To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Pets must be on 6 foot leash and must have proof of rabies vaccination. Chainsaws, subletting of camping areas, rollerblades, firearms, and fireworks are not allowed in the park. Firewood available at park, fires are allowed in designated areas only. Cartop boats allowed for seasonal or weekly fees. Campers must be on site before the park closes and visitors must leave by 10 pm Park closes when darkness falls. Water is centrally located. Quiet hours 10pm to 8am. Generators may be used between the hours of 9am to 11am and 5pm to 9pm. There is an overflow parking area available for 3rd vehicles for a fee. Cabins are 7 day or 14 day reservations only during PEAK season. SATURDAY TO SATURDAY ONLY! Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
